PROTECTING NATURE IS IN OUR HANDS WITH STEAM
The eTwinning project " Protecting Nature is in Our Hands With Steam " offers a great opportunity to raise environmental awareness, encourage creativity and provide students with problem-solving skills in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) education. The goals we will work within this framework are:
1. Creativity and Innovation
Fairy Tales and Stories:Students can develop their creativity by writing fantasy tales about environmental protection or stories that address current issues. This increases empathy and awareness.
2. Problem Solving Skills
Real Life Problems: Encourage students to analyze environmental problems and develop practical solutions to these problems.
3. Collaboration
Team Projects: Encourage students to work in multicultural groups to produce solutions together, learn and share environmental approaches from different cultures, and strengthen collaboration.
4. Coding and Artificial Intelligence
Use of Technology: Encourage students to acquire conservation skills by using artificial intelligence and coding languages for data analysis and simulations.
5. Multiculturalism
Global Awareness: Examine the relationships of different cultures with nature and conservation methods, and help students develop different perspectives on environmental problems.
6. Scientific Research
Data Collection and Analysis: Encourage students to learn scientific methods by conducting field studies on conservation projects and collecting and analyzing data.
7. Art and Design
Visual Communication: Encourage students to acquire artistic skills to increase their awareness of environmental problems.
8. Critical Thinking
Making Conscious Choices:
It is important to encourage students to make more conscious decisions about natural resources and sustainability. Students will be provided with the opportunity to analyze problems and explore various solutions
CONCLUSION
The STEAM approach is an effective tool for increasing students' awareness of nature conservation while also developing creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration skills. Understanding cultural differences and incorporating them into projects helps students develop a global perspective.
